Anaheim recorded the hottest temperature in the nation on Monday, Feb. 28, when local thermometers topped out at 90 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
The high temperature was a stark 113 degrees warmer than the lowest temperature recorded in the U.S. Monday, with Mount Washington, New Hampshire, coming in at -23 degrees, the NWS’ Weather Prediction Center said in a tweet.

Temperatures were expected to remain high in Anaheim and the rest of Southern California through Wednesday, March 2, according to the NWS. Projected high temperatures for Tuesday, March 1, included 88 degrees in Anaheim and 87 degrees in San Bernardino, according to the NWS’ San Diego office.
Temperatures were expected to drop by about 10 degrees or more throughout the region on Thursday, March 3, the NWS said.
