THE GAME: With a strong wind blowing out to right field, the Angels saw their three-game winning streak end with a 16-11 loss to the Athletics at Tempe, Ariz.

PITCHING REPORT: Starter Alek Manoah and reliever Aneurys Zabala combined to give up eight runs in the second inning, with Zabala allowing three home runs. ON THE CAROUSEL: The Angels played in a spring game with at least 27 combined runs for the first time since a 17-11 loss to the Kansas City Royals on March 10, 2013, at Surprise, Ariz. Albert Pujols, Vernon Wells, Hank Conger and Trent Oeltjen all hit home runs for the Angels. The last time they had a home spring game with at least 27 combined runs was an 18-11 victory over the Colorado Rockies in 2009.
