THE GAME: The Dodgers scored three times in the eighth inning to break a tie and beat Mexico’s World Baseball Classic team, 7-5, on Wednesday afternoon at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz.

PITCHING REPORT: Tyler Glasnow pitched into the third inning but was not sharp. He allowed three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four in 2⅔ innings. … Emmet Sheehan made his spring debut (delayed by illness) and was not sharp either. He faced nine batters over two innings and gave up one run on three hits and two walks. … Alex Vesia pitched a 1-2-3 inning, striking out two of the three batters. Vesia has faced 12 batters in four Cactus League innings and retired them all, seven on strikeouts. … Blake Treinen and Jack Dreyer each pitched a scoreless inning.

HITTING REPORT: Andy Pages led off the second inning with his first home run of the spring. Pages also doubled in his next at-bat. … The Dodgers scored two runs in the third inning when Santiago Espinal followed Pages’ double with one of his own.
