Mater Dei’s Layli Ostovar has been chosen by Gatorade as the California girls volleyball player of the year, it was announced Friday.
Ostovar, a senior outside hitter who signed with USC, led Mater Dei to the CIF State Open Division championship this past season. She had a match-high 31 kills against Rocklin in the state final.
She was the Orange County player of the year in the fall and in 2024.
