I see there’s another front page article in your paper about Tyler Skaggs. I personally haven’t read any of them and I have a feeling I’m in a very large club. Except for your editors, does anybody really care?
Did his teammates know? Dumb question. They do everything together for six months a year.
Did his coaches know? Another dumb question for the same reason.
Why didn’t somebody say something? Another dumb question. Everybody already knew.
Why didn’t anybody try and stop him? Answer: drug users and alcoholics don’t want to listen to advice about their problem.
The bottom line is the only things that are to blame are the drugs. So don’t do them or you’ll end up dead like Tyler Skaggs!
