Thursday, Sept. 18 is National Cheeseburger Day, giving restaurant chains the opportunity to ask, “Do you want BOGOs with that?”

Several restaurants that specialize in burgers have buy-one-get-one offers or other discounts that cut the price of a sandwich down to as low as $4. Some include fries.

There’s even a plant-based option.

Here are some deals announced by restaurant chains on their websites, in social media or in news releases. Most of them are good on Sept. 18 only.

Applebee’s: Customers can get one of three Classic Burgers with fries for $8.99.

Dog Haus: Customers can buy one Haus Cheeseburger and get a second one free. doghaus.com

Farmer Boys: Loyalty members can get one Big Cheese burger for $4 while supplies last. farmerboys.com

Jack in the Box: Customers can get a Smashed Jack for $5 through Sept. 18. On National Cheeseburger Day. And app users can get a free Jr. Cheeseburger with an order of more than $1. jackinthebox.com

Mooyah: Loyalty members can get a free cheeseburger with the purchase of any burger in-app. mooyah.com

Red Robin: The casual service chain is using National Cheeseburger Day to promote an existing promotion, the $9.99 Big Yummm Burger Deal that includes a Double Tavern Burger, a Bottomless Side and a soft drink. redrobin.com

Shake Shack: This New York chain hasn’t announced any National Cheeseburger Day promotions, but it is promoting three new French onion soup burgers with gruyere cheese. shakeshack.com

Smashburger: Single Burgers will sell for $4.99 at participating locations. Use the promo code “BURGERDAY25.” smashburger.com

The Habit Burger & Grill: New members of the Irvine-based chain’s CharClub can receive a free Charburger with purchase of a regular drink on Thursday, Sept. 18 only. habitburger.com

The Melt: This San Francisco chain will be giving 1,000 MeltBurgers at random to new and existing rewards members. Also rewards members who order a Meltburger on Sept. 18 will get a second burger loaded into their accounts. Customers must join before noon on Sept. 17 to qualify. themelt.com

Veggie Grill by Next Level: Customers can buy two vegan American ChzBurgers at the price of one. veggiegrill.com
