Pit bull-bulldog mix Prince deserves love after his ordeal

Rent Computer Hardware You Need, When You Need It

Breed: Pit bull-bulldog mix

Age: 5 years

Gender: Neutered male

Prince’s story: Prince was brought to Mission Viejo Animal Services Center as a stray covered in bite wounds of varying ages and depths – one of them so serious it caused an infection and lameness in one of his front legs. It seemed he had been used as either a fighting dog or bait dog for other fighting dogs to attack. Because of this, the center consulted with a dog trainer and created a behavior modification plan to ensure he and other dogs would be safe together. He turns out to like smaller dogs and will play bow to other dogs on leash. He is a bit reactive toward other male dogs, so a smaller female dog would be the best if you’re looking at Prince as a second dog.  He knows “sit” and “shake” and is incredibly motivated by treats. He would make a great companion for an experienced owner.

Adoption fee: $20 to an approved adopter

Adoption procedure: Application and screening of potential adopters is required to ensure they are the right fit for Prince. Visit him at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, 28095 Hillcrest, Mission Viejo; call 949-470-3045; or email [email protected]. More information on Prince and other dogs in need of homes can be found online.
