Sutton DeNinno’s run-scoring single capped a two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning that gave Los Alamitos’ baseball team a 4-3 victory over Edison in the Sunset League on Wednesday at Los Alamitos High.

Kaden Carrion tied the game with a run-scoring double in the seventh inning for Los Alamitos, which improved to 8-1-2 overall and 1-1 in league.

Carrion went 2 for 4 with two doubles and Wyatt Joyce added a run-scoring double.

Tyler Smith had two hits with two stolen bases and Tyler Den Hartog hit a RBI double in the fourth inning.

Tristan Dalzell started on the mound for the Griffins and allowed three runs in 5⅓ innings with eight strikeouts. Logan Anderson earned the win with 1⅔ shutout innings and two strikeouts.

Drew Gonzalez allowed one earned run in four innings for Edison (7-3, 1-1). Xavier Shoda had two hits and drove in a run for the Chargers and Gavin Johnson added two hits.

Newport Harbor 1, Corona del Mar 0: Elijah Haseth drove in the game-winning run for Newport Harbor in the seventh inning for a road win against rival Corona del Mar.

Lucas Perez hit a double in the seventh inning for Newport Harbor (6-1, 2-0) and scored on Haseth’s double. Keaton Anderson allowed just two hits in six innings for the Sailors. Ryan Williams pitched a perfect seventh inning to earn the save and added two hits.

Stevie Jones pitched a complete game for Corona del Mar (6-3, 0-2) and allowed no earned runs with six strikeouts.

Huntington Beach 3, Marina 1: Trent Grindlinger and Jayton Greer each hit solo home runs for Huntington Beach (4-0, 3-0).

LSU commit CJ Weinstein had a run-scoring double for the Oilers. Jared Grindlinger pitched three no-hit innings to earn the win.

Luke Pratali had two hits and a RBI for Marina (7-4, 0-2). Nicholas Murrey had four strikeouts in five innings.

In nonleague games:

Villa Park 2, Santa Margarita 1: Jack McGuire, Brady Wolfe and Logan Hoppie pitched well for Villa Park in a home win over Santa Margarita.

Villa Park is No. 11 in the Register’s Top 25 rankings and Santa Margarita is No. 2.

Wolfe earned the win for Villa Park (7-3) and Hoppie got the save. Gunner Santillo hit a RBI double for the Spartans and Austin Park added a RBI double.

UC San Diego signee Ethan Russell allowed two runs in five innings for Santa Margarita (5-1). Lucas Owens had two hits with a RBI for the Eagles and Chase Marlow had a double.

Aliso Niguel 3, San Clemente 1: Vanderbilt signee Cooper Flemming had 10 strikeouts in a complete game effort for Aliso Niguel against its former league foe San Clemente.

Flemming allowed just five hits and hit a double for Aliso Niguel (9-3). Andrew Watson and Chad Alderman drove in runs for the Wolverines.

Sean Chetakian allowed two earned runs in five innings for San Clemente (4-7). Cade Cerone hit a solo home run.

Trabuco Hills 4, El Modena 1: Mikey Gray was dominant for Trabuco Hills in a road win over El Modena.

Gray allowed one run in six innings with seven strikeouts and just two hits allowed for Trabuco Hills (8-0-1). He also had two hits with a RBI on offense. Evan Hall went 2 for 3 with a double, stolen base and RBI.

Ryan Novajoski allowed just one hit in five innings for El Modena (2-8). Logan Honikel hit a double and Adrian Perez had a RBI single.

Fountain Valley 15, Santa Fe 0: Fountain Valley had 19 hits in a blowout win over Santa Fe.

Josh Grack pitched four shutout innings and went 3 for 3 with a triple and a RBI. Isaac Lomeli hit a home run for Fountain Valley (5-4) and New Mexico State signee Tyler Peshke had two doubles and two RBIs.

Isaac Grimaldo went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs.

Mater Dei 4, Murrieta Valley 0: Landon Gordon pitched six shutout innings with eight strikeouts for Mater Dei in a home win.

Ezekiel Lara went 2 for 2 with two stolen bases and a run scored for Mater Dei (7-0).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Portola 7, Sage Hill 0: Yoshi Tsuge delivered with his arm and his bat in Portola’s shutout win over Sage Hill.

Tsuge pitched five shutout innings with just two hits allowed and went 2 for 3 with two stolen bases and two RBIs at the plate. Ashton Wood had two RBIs for Portola (4-6, 2-0) and Cooper Marinelli had two hits with a double.

University 9, St. Margaret’s 4: Brennan Collins went 4 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs in a win over St. Margaret’s.

Sean Maher had three hits with a triple and two RBIs for University (5-3, 1-1) and Chase Nguyen went 3 for 4 with two stolen bases. Jameson LoBiancho allowed one run in five innings with five strikeouts.

Laguna Beach 3, Woodbridge 0: Laguna Beach extended its season-opening winning streak to nine games due to excellent pitching against Woodbridge.

Branson Wade and Jake Martinez combined to allow five hits in seven shutout innings for Laguna Beach (9-0, 3-0). Lincoln Adams had a stolen base and a RBI for the Breakers.

Vincent DeMarco had six strikeouts in 4⅓ innings for Woodbridge (8-4, 1-2). Vaughn Tase had two hits for the Warriors.

In the Coast League:

Savanna 11, Estancia 5: Josh Eich and Aiden Perez each drove in three runs for Savanna (8-3, 1-1).

Blake Willey went 2 for 3 with a walk for the Rebels.

In the Anaheim Lions Tournament:

Sonora 1, Spanish Springs (Nev.) 0: Caleb Orr had 11 strikeouts in six shutout innings for Sonora (7-5).

Lincoln Webster pitched a perfect seventh inning to earn the save for the Raiders. Ryan Lietzau drove in the lone run of the game.

Dana Hills 12, Whittier Christian 6: Dana Hills had 10 hits in a high-scoring win over Whittier Christian at Brookhurst Park.

The Dolphins scored five runs in the third inning to break the game open and led by nine runs entering the seventh. Indio Pavia and Tommy Moro each had three hits with a RBI for Dana Hills (3-7). Evan Daly added two RBIs and a stolen base.

Leland Carrido had a triple and five RBIs for Whittier Christian (5-4).
