Noteworthy: He had 13 kills on 24 attempts as the Sea Kings swept rival Newport Harbor in a Sunset League match, 25-20, 25-15, 25-20. Brown had 15 kills on 36 attempts in a victory over Mater Dei, 25-19, 26-28, 25-18, 25-22, in a nonleague match. Brown, a 6-foot-4 outside hitter, moved from the Chicago area before this school year.
