The final Orange County girls basketball rankings for the 2024-25 season.
Notable this week: Mater Dei, the top-ranked team in Orange County in the preseason, finishes No. 1. Under first coach Jody Wynn, the Monarchs went undefeated against county opponents for the third consecutive season and finished No. 10 in the nation by MaxPreps. … Sage Hill rises two spots to No. 2 on the strength of capturing the CIF Southern California Regional title to reach the Division I state final.

1. Mater Dei (29-4): Iowa-bound guard Addison Deal has added Trinity League MVP to her growing list of accolades.

2. Sage Hill (23-12): With no seniors in their starting lineup, the Lightning looked toward their future after falling to Carondelet in the CIF State Division I championship on Friday. Junior Amalia Holguin earned Pacific Coast League MVP.

3. Fairmont Prep (23-11): Junior Adyra Rajan finished with an Orange County single-season record 157 3-pointers.

4. San Clemente (25-6): The South Coast League champion’s only losses against county opponents came against Mater Dei and Crean Lutheran.

5. JSerra (18-11): Sophomore Kayla Rice averaged a team-leading 19.9 points for the Lions.

6. Villa Park (24-5): With five juniors in its starting lineup along with freshman Lauren Wolfe, the Spartans are another team to watch next season.

7. Crean Lutheran (23-6): The Saints won the Crestview League and reached the Division I playoffs under first-year coach Kyle Rouse.

9. San Juan Hills (19-12): The Stallions’ resume includes wins over Portola, Santa Margarita and Esperanza, and a narrow loss against San Clemente.
