LOS ANGELES — The No. 1 UCLA women’s basketball team has secured the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament.
The Bruins will play either UC San Diego or Southern at Region 1 in Spokane’s first round on Friday.
The seedings were revealed on Sunday afternoon, and UCLA watched the reveal surrounded by donors and supporters at an official watch party at the Mo Ostin Center.
UCLA beat USC in the Big Ten Conference tournament championship game on March 9 to reclaim the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25 rankings and dropped USC to No. 4 in the Top 25 rankings.
