A 29-year-old man who police say drove the wrong way along Jamboree Road in Irvine died after he crashed head-on with another vehicle Monday morning, Feb. 10, authorities said.
He was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when the crash occurred south of Warner Avenue at about 1:35 a.m., Irvine police Lt. Cathy Scherer said.
The Hyundai Elantra sedan’s driver, Joshua Kevin Soto of La Habra, was taken to a hospital but died, authorities said.
The second vehicle’s driver was not injured, Scherer said.
