A woman was stabbed to death inside her San Juan Capistrano home on Saturday night, and her 25-year-old son was arrested, sheriff’s officials announced on Sunday, Jan. 26.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about an assault at the 32000 block of Valle Road. They found a woman in her 50s suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Shortly after their arrival, she was pronounced dead at the scene, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
The woman’s son, a 25-year-old man who lived at the home, was detained at a restaurant and arrested on suspicion of murder, Sgt. Matt Parrish said.
The circumstances surrounding the stabbing and additional details about the woman were not released.
The woman’s identification was withheld pending family notification.
