When the roster of double-headers was announced back in March, Ozzy Osbourne was originally scheduled to perform on Oct. 7. However, due to Osbourne’s ongoing health issues, the 74-year-old Black Sabbath frontman had cancel to give his body more time to heal.

“As painful as it is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October,” a July 10 emailed statement read. “My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward. Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.”

The following day, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Judas Priest was the announced as Osbourne’s very suitable replacement.

Reminiscent of the company’s 2016 Desert Trip, which brought together the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Who and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd for two consecutive weekends, and the Big 4 Festival, which saw sets from Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax and Metallica in 2011 at the venue, Power Trip looks to be Goldenvoice’s latest iconic global event.
