Let’s dig right in shall we?

Yes, we’re still two months away from Halloween, but events start popping up early. Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash kicks off on Sept. 5 and Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights begins on Sept. 7.

Oogie Boogie Bash takes over Disney

The Oogie Boogie Bash is a hot (and pricey) ticket and it is currently sold out. However, our theme parks reporter Brady MacDonald shares some insight into the family-friendly event if you plan on going: Don’t even think about buying those tickets on eBay. Read more on that here.

Thrills and chills coming to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights

Ahead of the opening of Halloween Horror Nights, we were given an exclusive sneak peek inside of The Last of Us maze, which is based on the popular video game.

We hung out with Neil Druckmann, a game developer, co-studio president and head of creative at Naughty Dog, and talked to him about bringing the characters and scenes from the game to life within the haunted attraction. Read our full interview and see photos inside of the maze here.

Early Halloween shopping

Looking for some unique Halloween décor or gifts for your spooky friends? October Village will be back at the Double Tree Hotel in Santa Ana from noon-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2 and will feature more than 70 vendors selling all sorts of Halloween-related goods. Find out more about this macabre marketplace and how to get your free tickets to the event here.

 Until next week, happy haunting!
