1. Mater Dei 12-0: The Monarchs won a tournament in Texas, beating Cathedral Catholic in the semifinals and MaxPreps.com’s preseason national No. 1 Prestonwood Christian in the final.

2. Huntington Beach 5-3: The Oilers defeated Sierra Canyon, last year’s CIF Southern Section Division 1 champion.

3. Santa Margarita 10-0: The Eagles won the Tesoro Tournament, have victories over Beckman and Edison.

4. Beckman 8-1: Beckman beat JSerra and Edison.

5. JSerra 7-3: Lions beat San Juan Hills and San Clemente.

6. Edison 5-3: Chargers have lost to good teams like Beckman and twice to Santa Margarita.

7. Los Alamitos 8-2: Griffins defeated Punahou of Hawaii, Long Beach Wilson

8. San Clemente 5-4: Tritons’ tough schedule has included losses to Mater Dei, Beckman and JSerra, and a win over Laguna Beach.

9. Aliso Niguel 4-4: Wolverines defeated Newport Harbor.

10. Orange Lutheran 3-3: Lancers beat Corona del Mar.
