Disco Trip is an offshoot of Insomniac’s Day Trip Festival, which took place at The Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach last weekend. Day Trip was the Burbank-based electronic music company’s first event since the shootings at the Beyond Wonderland Festival at Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington state on June 17, where a gunman killed two former Southern California residents and injured several other attendees in a camping area near the festival grounds.

Those who attended Day Trip expressed some concerns about security following the tragedy, but still turned up to the sold-out, two-day event to party on June 24-25.
