Two 18-year-old men were injured and the apparent perpetrator was at large in an early Wednesday morning Midway City shooting, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight at the 15000 block of Van Buren Street, where one of the 18-year-old males was found, the department said in a news release. Upon his arrival at the hospital, another 18-year-old was located with gunshot wounds believed to be from the same shooting.
Further details regarding the shooting were not immediately available. It was not clear what led up to the shooting or whether a suspect has been identified. As of the department’s latest update, no arrests have been made.
