Students and staff at Aliso Niguel High School have been evacuated from campus after a threat was phoned in Monday morning, April 17, authorities said.

Orange County sheriff’s deputies were called to the campus just past 7:45 a.m. and were investigating, Sgt. Mike Woodroof said.

Students were evacuated to Foxborough Park just north of the school, and the campus was closed, sheriff’s officials said in a tweet.

“Do not come to campus at this time,” officials said.

What specifically was said during the threatening call was not immediately known.

Sheriff’s officials closed Wolverine Way at Aliso Creek Road while they searched the campus, officials said.
