Huntington Beach’s softball team defeated another unbeaten opponent Saturday behind ace Zoe Prystajko.
The left-hander fired a one-hitter and hit a home run as the Oilers defeated Oaks Christian 8-3 in the finals of the Best of the West Classic in Santa Maria.
In the quarterfinals Friday, Huntington Beach (19-4) defeated previously undefeated Sutter 1-0 behind 18 strikeouts by Prystajko, a junior committed to Stanford.
On Saturday, the Oilers scored the first eight runs before the Lions (21-1-1) received a three-run home run by Lily Knox in the sixth inning.

Prystajko received plenty of support. Center fielder Sophia Knight had two hits and two RBIs while first baseman Saige Anderson drove in two runs.
In the semifinals, Huntington Beach defeated Paso Robles 7-3. Anderson hit a home run and Emma Francisco went the distance in the circle for the Oilers, ranked third in Orange County.
