LONG BEACH — Led by Lassina Traore’s 15 points and 15 rebounds, Long Beach State won its fourth consecutive game with a 75-72 victory over UC Davis on Saturday at the Walter Pyramid.
While getting his 12th double-double of the season, Traore shot 7 of 13 from the field – on a day when The Beach was cold from long distance, hitting just 4 of 18 (22.2%) from 3-point range– and had three steals.
Marcus Tsohonis, coming off being named the Big West Player of the Week last week, scored a team-high 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting for the Beach (12-10, 6-4 Big West Conference) and added six rebounds.
Ty Johnson’s 32 points and Elijah Pepper’s 28 points led the Aggies (13-9, 6-4).
