A 35-year-old man was killed Friday night, Dec. 23, when his vehicle slammed into a center divider on the 55 Freeway in Orange, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man, a Norco resident whose name was withheld until next of kin are notified, was driving a 2019 Porche 911 southbound at an excessive speed north of Katella Avenue when, for an unknown reason, he turned abruptly to the right, the CHP said.
A news media representative at the scene said the vehicle struck a center divider.
He sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
