A crash involving a La Habra police car left three people including an officer injured on Thursday, Dec. 1.
Officers were heading to a call around 3 p.m. when a vehicle collided with one of police cars near La Habra Boulevard and Idaho Street, according to a police statement. Police gave first aid to the occupants of the car and the officer.
Arriving paramedics took over the medical aid. The driver and passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries while the officer was treated at the scene, police said. They did not take the officer to a hospital.
The crash did not appear to be the result of drugs or alcohol, according to police.
Because it involves one of its officers, the department will turn over the investigation to the California Highway Patrol.
