The California Wine Festival returns to Orange County on Nov. 11-12. The oceanfront tasting event commences at Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach on Friday, Nov. 11 with a Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting experience. The VIP sparkling wine reception will feature hard-to-procure wines, exclusive tasting room offers and sips from rare bottles that are currently out of circulation.
On Saturday, Nov. 12, the event continues with a lively afternoon Beachside Wine Festival. From 1 to 4 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to taste hundreds of wines from various California regions. The Beachside Wine Festival will also include bites prepared by local chefs such as Paul Cao of Burnt Crumbs, Corey Muir of Bosscat Kitchen, Bluewater Grill’s Jason Mazur, along with Bluegold/LXSO’s Tin Vuong and Jorge Valines. The afternoon benefits Golden Rule Charity, which is dedicated to helping people in the hospitality industry who are in need of assistance.
The California Wine Festival was founded in 2004 in Santa Barbara and is one of the largest outdoor wine festivals in the state. The event also strives to be as “green” as possible. In 2019, 90 percent of the waste from the festivals was diverted from landfills. The organization has helped to raise awareness and funds for California charities such as The Surfrider Foundation.
Tickets for Saturday start at $75. VIP early access is sold out. For more information, visit californiawinefestival.com
