A vote center at the Library of the Canyons in Silverado will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 8 – Election Day.
The Orange County Registrar of Voters announced the closure of the vote center Monday afternoon after a voluntary evacuation warning was issued for Silverado Canyon, Williams Canyon, and Modjeska near the Bond Fire burn area.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for the burn scare area from Tuesday at 4 a.m. until Wednesday at 7 a.m., and the voluntary evacuation warning is in place throughout that time.
A list of other vote centers can be found at ocvote.gov/votecenter. The Library of the Canyons vote center was the only one in Silverado.
Mail ballots can still be returned as long as they are postmarked on or before Election Day and received by Nov. 15.
