Greg Creed, who retired as CEO of Yum! Brands at the end of 2019, sold his Lido Isle bayfront home in Newport Beach at the original asking price.

The 3,254-square-foot contemporary-style residence with harbor and Lido Channel view closed Aug. 31, nine days after hitting the market for $11.5 million.

Property records show Creed and his wife, Carolyn, bought the home for $3.975 million in March 2013.

The Australian-born businessman spent more than 40 years in marketing and operations with leading restaurant and consumer packaged goods brands, including taking the lead on the Taco Bell campaign “Think Outside the Bun” and the fast-food chain’s launch of Doritos Locos Taco.

In 2015, the Creeds rebuilt their waterfront house from the studs up with a new foundation and seawall.

Clad in limestone with ipe wood accents, the two-story house opens into well-proportioned rooms of quality materials and finishes. Oak floors run through the primary level’s great room, with its limestone fireplace and built-ins.

The dining area opens to the kitchen. It features a large center island with seating for four and high-end appliances.
