A woman was killed during a single-vehicle crash in Yorba Linda on Sunday, Aug. 21, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 12:40 a.m. in the area of Yorba Linda Boulevard and Summit Drive. The Lexus the woman was driving hit a curb, went airborne and struck a large tree, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Steinle said a preliminary investigation shows that speed was a factor in the crash
The woman, the lone occupant inside the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name, age and city of residence were not immediately available.
