Viva! L.A. Music Festival, the highly anticipated Latin music event planned for Saturday, June 25 at Dodger Stadium, has been canceled, according to the music festival’s social media pages.

On June 3, the festival put out a statement via social media that the cancellation was due to “recent setbacks.” According to the festival’s website and its social media, fans who purchased tickets will be refunded within the next two weeks.

At a time when music festivals such as Coachella have been embracing an increasingly diverse and Latino audience, Viva! L.A. was anticipated to be one of the most ambitious Latino music festivals of the summer.

The top of the bill had been scheduled to be led by Spanish-language superstars such as J Balvin, Kali Uchis, and Becky G. It was also slated to be one of Daddy Yankee’s last performances after announcing his retirement earlier this year. Other legendary Mexican acts, such as Paquita la del Barrio, Los Tucanes de Tijuana and El Fantasma, had also been scheduled to perform.
