Gunfire struck and killed a 33-year-old man at a townhome in San Juan Capistrano Monday evening, May 30.
Callers reported trouble in the 26400 block of Calle San Francisco at 9:19 p.m., sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Steinle said, and responding deputies found the man dead.
Investigators were searching for a potential suspect, but declined to release the name or a description of that person, sheriff’s spokeswoman Carrie Braun said.
The victim’s identity was withheld pending the notification of his relatives.
