ORANGE COUNTY BASEBALL TOP 25

1. Orange Lutheran (24-4): Mikey Romero was 7 for 8 with four runs scored as the Lancers concluded the regular season with a three-game sweep of Santa Margarita. They are seeded No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.

2.  Foothill (19-9): Knights center fielder Austin Overn was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, a single, three stolen bases, two runs scored, a walk and diving catch of a deep fly ball in a 7-4 win over Villa Park that gave Foothill the Crestview League championship. Foothill has a first-round bye in the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.

3. Villa Park (24-4): The Spartans, No. 1 last week after winning the championship of the Boras Classic South tournament, lost two Crestview League games to Foothill. They play at home against Ayala in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs.

4. JSerra (18-10): The Lions finished the regular season strong, sweeping Mater Dei in three games to finish second in the Trinity League. They are seeded second in the Division 1 playoffs and have a first-round home game against West Rancho.

5. Huntington Beach (20-8): The Oilers already had clinched the Surf League championship going into the final week of the regular season, but still kept rolling with two nonleague wins, 11-3 over Corona del Mar and 10-0 over Laguna Beach. They have a first-round bye in the Division 1 playoffs.

6. Cypress (21-5-2): The Empire League champion Centurions split their two league games with Tustin last week. Cypress has a first-round bye in the Division 1 playoffs.

7. Servite (16-11): The Friars won two of three Trinity League games against St. John Bosco to finish third in the Trinity League. UCLA-committed junior shortstop Roman Marin had three RBIs in one of the Servite wins.

8. Trabuco Hills (23-5): Joey Gray drove in five runs over two wins against San Juan Hills for the Sea View League champion Mustangs. Trabuco Hills plays at home against Santa Margarita in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs.

9. Santa Margarita (18-10): The Eagles were swept in three games by Orange Lutheran and finished fourth in the Trinity League. They qualified for the Division 1 playoffs as an at-large team.

10. Capistrano Valley (16-10-1): The South Coast League champion Cougars won two of three from Mission Viejo, including a complete-game pitching effort from senior right-hander Jaden Sekhon.
