We have an opportunity to strengthen local government. Pat Bates is running for Orange County Supervisor to win back District 5.

On June 7th we can reclaim a long standing Republican seat.

To accomplish this we must have a strong advocate for the principles we believe in who is also politically astute in achieving Republican goals.

California state Sen. Pat Bates is the real deal.

She has earned resounding support from the community thanks to her thoughtful approach to the issues. Clearly, she’s the right person at the right time to lead.

The voters have elected her and re-elected her to important leadership positions from Pat’s service as the first mayor of Laguna Niguel to representing the 73rd District of California’s State Assembly, to California’s State Senate Republican leader pushing back against harmful proposals that make it impossible to raise a family in California.

Pat keeps community and constituents at the forefront of every move she makes. She is absolutely beholden to the voter, not to any special interests.

As a local restaurant owner, I’m deeply ingrained in the Orange County community.

The message I hear from my community is how overwhelmed they are by inflation and the worsening economy.

Recent polling has shown that Latinos in Orange County are far more concerned by out of control inflation and the burdensome cost of living than CO-VID, climate change, or foreign conflicts.

The leaders we elect to local offices have a major influence on the voters’ pocketbooks, especially our Board of Supervisors that deal with a huge budget.

We are laser focused on beating out of touch Democrats like Katrina Foley who failed to deliver on their promises.

We need to put support behind the strongest candidates. Republican candidate Diane Harkey who is also running in this race, offers no pathway to win back this seat.

Polling published by our organization shows that Pat Bates, not Diane Harkey, is the one to defeat incumbent Supervisor Katrina Foley.

It’s just a matter of fact that Harkey’s baggage led her to lose her 2018 bid for Congress by 14 points.

Quite frankly, her choosing to run for office undeterred by scandal is a selfish move.

In comes Pat Bates with her great diversity of experience as an independent voice advocating for the best quality of life for Orange County families.

The choice is clear. When Republicans get behind dependable candidates like Pat Bates, families win, business owners win, and our county prospers.
