Noteworthy: Hawkes was named girls sprint MVP at the Orange County Championships after winning the 200- and 400-meter races. Her time of 55.23 seconds in the 400 is the best time in Orange County this season. Hawkes was also victorious in the 200 with a wind-aided. 24.75. She is the season’s county leader in the 200 (wind-legal) at 25.20 and in the 100 at 12.16.
