A Westminster High School student aide was arrested earlier this month and accused of sexually assaulting a female student, Westminster Police Department officials said Friday, March 25.
Police were alerted to a possible inappropriate relationship between the 16-year-old student and Zackary Valenzuela, 22, on March 16. Investigators believe Valenzuela communicated with the student through social media and then by text messaging.
He allegedly drove the student to get ice cream and go to various parks, before eventually bringing her to his home and sexually assaulting her, a news release from the department said.
