Have you ever seen that “Portlandia” episode with the song “The Dream of the ’90s is Alive in Portland”?

Well, with the new Flannel Nation festival, the dream of the ’90s is alive in San Pedro.

The headliner is yet to be announced, but if you listened to KROQ at any point from 1995-1998 you will have heard the bands on the lineup, which include Everclear and Fastball, in heavy rotation.

Since we still haven’t found a way to time travel just yet, this is the closest you’re going to get to hopping in a Bill & Ted-style phone booth to go to Weenie Roast at Irvine Meadows in 1998.

In other festival happenings, we’ve also got news about some Coachella-adjacent parties and the chef lineup for BeachLife’s on-stage dining experience.
