Dan Albano’s Diamond Club outstanding softball players last week, March 21:

Leslie Egan, Savanna, Sr.: Egan went 4 for 5 with two home runs and five RBIs in a 25-2 win against Western to help the Rebels improve to 2-0 in the Orange League. She also went 4 for 4 with two RBIs in a 17-7 victory against Crean Lutheran.

Cat Kawabe, Mater Dei, So.: Kawabe reached base four times, including once with a solo home run, in 6-1 win against Upland.

Mia Sanchez, Esperanza, So., P: Sanchez tossed six innings of scoreless relief and struck seven in a 4-3 victory in nine innings against La Habra.

Emi Todoroki, Orange Lutheran, So., 2B: Todoroki went 3 for 3 with three RBIs in an 11-0 win against Rosary in the teams’ Trinity League opener.

Maggie Tufnell, El Dorado, Sr., P: The left-hander allowed two earned runs in five innings in a 4-2 loss against top-ranked and undefeated Villa Park.
