The Los Alamitos boys soccer team has been declared the champion of Division 3 in the CIF Southern Section playoffs.

Calabasas, which was supposed to play Los Alamitos in the Division 3 final Saturday afternoon, informed CIF-SS on Friday that it discovered that had played an ineligible player during the season and was withdrawing from the finals.

According to a statement by the CIF-SS, the player violated Bylaw 600, which deals with players competing on “outside” teams in the same sport during the high school season.
