THE GAME: The Dodgers scored four times in the fifth inning and again in the seventh to remain unbeaten after five Cactus League games, beating the Arizona Diamondbacks, 10-7, on Wednesday afternoon at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Ariz.

AND COUNTING: The Dodgers have outscored their opponents 44-13 this spring.

PITCHING REPORT: Roki Sasaki’s spring debut was a rough one. He faced nine hitters, retired four (three on strikeouts) and gave up three runs on three hits (two doubles) and two walks. He was scheduled to pitch two innings but was pulled with one on and one out in the second inning having thrown 36 pitches. … River Ryan saw his first game action since Tommy John surgery in August 2024. Ryan struck out Nolan Arenado and walked a batter but escaped the inning when Dalton Rushing threw the runner out trying to steal second base. … Edwin Diaz made his spring debut with the Dodgers, allowing one hit in a scoreless inning. He expects to make one more Cactus League appearance this week before leaving to join Team Puerto Rico for the World Baseball Classic.

HITTING REPORT: Hyeseong Kim was 2 for 3 with two stolen bases and is 5 for 10 this spring. Kim will be leaving camp to join Team Korea for the WBC. … The Dodgers scored four times in the fifth inning, drawing four walks and getting an RBI single from Kim. … Ryan Ward was 1 for 3 with a double. Noah Miller reached base three times on a single and two walks. Zyhir Hope had a two-run double during the four-run seventh. … The Dodgers have drawn 37 walks in five games, tops in the Cactus or Grapefruit Leagues.

DEFENSE REPORT: Kim got his first game action in center field this spring against the Diamondbacks and made a nice catch on Pavin Smith’s sinking line drive in the first inning.
