A 48-year-old man was behind bars Monday, Jan. 19, on suspicion of fatally shooting another man at a home in Huntington Beach on Sunday night, authorities said.
The victim was found with gunshot wounds in the 4500 block of Scenario Drive about 11:30 p.m., Huntington Beach Sgt. Anthony Pham said. He died at a hospital.
Police responded after receiving a call of shots fired, Pham said.
“Based on interviews and evidence at the scene,” police arrested Robert Emery of Huntington Beach on suspicion of murder, Pham said.
Whether the victim was found inside or outside the home was unclear. He was identified by the coroner as Tyquan Devone Maurice Rawlins, 35, of Long Beach.
The shooting occurred in a neighborhood of single-family homes west of Bolsa Chica Street and east of Sunset Beach.
