Before he built Disneyland, Walt Disney knew it was impossible to put a price on dreams.
“I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible because dreams offer too little collateral,” he once said.
The same goes for memories.
During the past 70 years, the Magic Kingdom has served as the setting for countless treasured memories. And if you have a story to tell about a special day at the theme park, we would like to hear about it. Do you recall your first visit as a child? Did you go for Grad Nite or another big event? Was there a marriage proposal in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle? Did you celebrate a milestone birthday or anniversary?
If you have a story to share about your special visit, tell us and we’ll share it with other readers. Photos are welcome, too.
So we can print the most memories possible, please limit yours to 100 words or less. The deadline is Sunday, June 8.
It’s best to send your story and photo via email to [email protected]. Include a phone number so we can call with any follow-up questions. Please put “Disneyland memory” in the subject field.
