
Crean Lutheran promoted boys basketball assistant coach Austin Loeb to head coach.
Loeb, 32, replaces Nate Klitzing who left Crean Lutheran to become the boys basketball coach at Orange Lutheran. Loeb has been a Crean Lutheran assistant coach for seven seasons. The Saints won a CIF Southern Section championship in the 2020-21 season.
Crean Lutheran this past season finished 18-13 overall and won the Crestview League championship with a 7-1 league record.
Loeb was an All-CIF and All-Orange County player at Brethren Christian and played at Irvine Valley College.
Matt Moorhouse, who coached Santiago to the CIF Southern Section Division 4AA championship, has left Santiago be become an assistant coach at Crean Lutheran.
