The Los Angeles Philharmonic announced it would be joined by renowned singer and actress Cynthia Erivo during its weekend two performance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

“SURPRISE! Back with @cynthiaerivo like we never left,” the Saturday, April 19, Instagram post read.

Erivo, notable for her Tony Award-winning performance as Celie in the 2015 Broadway revival of “The Color Purple” and, more recently, her role as Elphaba in the movie adaptation of the Broadway hit “Wicked,” will join Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil during their performance at the Outdoor Theatre at 6:15 p.m.

During weekend one, the LA Phil was joined by a wide range of guests that included jazz-pop singer Laufey, Americana singer-songwriter Maren Morris, and Latin pop singer Becky G.

The performance will begin livestreaming at 6:25 p.m.
