
Los Angeles County was placed under a wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 7:49 p.m. The advisory is valid from Monday 2 p.m. until Tuesday, Mar. 18 at 9 a.m.
The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said, “West to north winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Isolated gusts to 60 mph likely in the Interstate 5 corridor.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
