A Long Beach man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of burglary of a Temecula business.

Deputies responded to the 28000 block of Jefferson Avenue Tuesday to a report of a commercial burglary, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspects allegedly broke into the business, loaded approximately $50,000 worth of tools and property into a vehicle, then stole the vehicle.

Investigators from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station Robbery and Burglary Suppression Team assumed the investigation and later obtained information that the victim’s credit card was allegedly used to book a room at a motel in Santa Ana.

RBST members obtained a search warrant for the motel room on Saturday and were able to locate the stolen vehicle in the motel parking lot. RBST members along with members of the Southwest Sheriff’s Station’s Special Enforcement Team and Investigations Bureau later identified the suspects as 36-year-old Marselina Ortiz and 43-year-old Jason Warner who were both seen exiting the motel room and were detained by deputies.

The search warrant was served on the vehicle and the motel room, and the majority of the victim’s stolen property was recovered.
