LOS ANGELES — The Lakers will be without star guard Luka Doncic for tonight’s home game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Doncic’s absence, which was first reported by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, comes on the Lakers’ sixth game in eight days as he continues to manage his sprained right ankle.
He first appeared on the team’s injury report because of a right ankle ailment ahead of the Lakers’ March 13 road loss to the Bucks.
Doncic didn’t play in last Friday’s road loss to the Denver Nuggets, with the team saying he wasn’t available because of the sprained right ankle/left calf injury management.
He played in the Lakers’ three games leading up to Thursday, all home wins, including having 31 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a blocked shot in 32 minutes in Wednesday’s home win over the Nuggets.
