PITCHING REPORT: Right-hander Jose Soriano, who is lined up for a rotation spot to open the season, gave up two runs on one hit with three walks and four strikeouts over three innings. Soriano threw 58 pitches, with the lone hit a home run from Bobby Witt Jr. … Left-hander Victor Gonzalez gave up four runs in one inning of work, allowing home runs to Hunter Renfroe and Peyton Wilson. … Left-hander Sam Aldegheri gave up two runs on two hits with three strikeouts.
OFFENSIVE REPORT: Shortstop Tim Anderson had a pair of singles, to give him five hits on the spring, while first baseman Nolan Schanuel also had two singles with an RBI and a run scored. … Yoan Moncada had an RBI double in the third inning for his first hit of the spring to go along with six walks.
