
Kate Duarte had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Isabella Holmes added 13 points to lead Rosary’s girls basketball team past visiting Oak Hills 53-47 in the CIF-SS Division 2A semifinals on Saturday.
The Royals (18-11) advanced to their first section final since 2017.
Second-seeded Rosary will play Rolling Hills Prep (21-8) in the finals Friday, Feb. 28, or Saturday, March 1.
The Royals defeated the Huskies 55-45 in late December.

In Division 5AA:
Santa Ana 45, St. Pius X – St. Matthias 32: Kalleigh Solis scored 25 points to lead the host Saints (16-12) to their first section final since 2022.
The Saints will face Hillcrest (21-6) in the championship.
In Division 4A:
Pilibos 42, Kennedy 24: Freshman Jessie Collins had eight points, nine rebounds and two steals in the loss for the visiting Fighting Irish (17-13).
In Open Division pool play:
Fairmont Prep 69, Windward 65: The visiting Huskies (21-11) won their first Open Division game in program history. Fairmont Prep finished 1-2 in its group with losses to Mater Dei and Etiwanda.
