FULLERTON — Zachary Visentin had a career night, but it wasn’t enough for a Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball team that was again done in by poor shooting and turnovers in a 65-49 loss to UC Davis on Saturday night.

Visentin, a senior, scored a career-high 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting and blocked three shots, but Fullerton shot 29.8% from the field and had 22 turnovers while losing its fifth straight game to drop to 6-19 overall and 1-11 in Big West Conference play. Kaleb Brown added six points and nine rebounds, while Kobe Young had six points and eight rebounds.

The Titans shot just 23% from the field in the first half and trailed 34-23 at halftime.

The Aggies (14-10, 8-5 Big West) feasted on the turnovers to start the second half and opened a 21-point lead with 13:20 remaining. Fullerton never mounted much of a charge and trailed by at least 15 the rest of the night.

T.Y. Johnson had 20 points on 8-for-20 shooting (3 for 8 from 3-point range) to pace UC Davis. Leo DeBruhl added 11 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and six steals. Carl Daughtery Jr. scored 10 points.
