Crowds piled up in the Disneyland esplanade on Wednesday morning when the Anaheim theme park failed to open on time after an oil leak affected Main Street U.S.A.
An oil leak from a street scrubber vehicle caused a 10-minute delayed opening of Disneyland Park on Wednesday, Sept. 25, according to Disneyland officials. Disney California Adventure opened on time, according to Disneyland officials.

Disneyland routed visitors away from Main Street U.S.A. when the park eventually opened shortly after the official 8 a.m. opening time, according to social media posts.

“Total chaos at Disneyland for park opening this morning,” YouTube live streamer Beautiful Tomorrow TV wrote on Twitter. “Oil Spill on Main Street caused delays to park opening this morning.”
Disneyland visitors entering the park were routed through backstage on the east side of the park, according to Disney vlogger Fresh Baked.

Disneyland blogger Gothic Rosie posted a photo on Instagram of Disneyland custodians cleaning up “leaked hydraulic fluid” in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
