Disneyland will close four attractions for seasonal refurbishments and post-summer schedules during the busy Halloween season just before the Christmas crowds descend on the Anaheim theme parks.

“Fantasmic,” Sailing Ship Columbia, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Pixie Hollow will temporarily close in September or October as part of Disneyland’s standard refurbishment schedule.

The four new attraction closures join Splash Mountain, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, Jungle Cruise, It’s a Small World, Disneyland Railroad and “World of Color” that were already shuttered for refurbishment.

“Fantasmic” on Disneyland’s Rivers of America will be dark on weekdays from late September through at least early November as the nighttime spectacular shifts to a post-summer schedule.

The dark dates for “Fantasmic” include: Monday, Sept. 23 through Thursday, Sept. 26, Sept. 30-Oct. 3, Oct. 7-10, Oct. 15-17, Oct. 21-24 and Oct. 28-31.

The Disneyland calendar — which only stretches through Nov. 4 — shows “Fantasmic” unavailable on that date, suggesting the weekends-only schedule will continue in early November.

The seasonal shift in the “Fantasmic” schedule will also allow the Sailing Ship Columbia to be out of service on select dates.
