A Fullerton woman was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, July 7, after her ex-boyfriend was shot to death in his Apple Valley home, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.
April Tia Green, 46, was being held without bail at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto.
Shaun Paul Griffith, 45, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Deputies in the town of Apple Valley were called to the 13500 block of Bordeaux Court around 11:28 a.m. Sunday and arrived to find family members and neighbors treating Griffith, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies and paramedics also assisted, but Griffith died.
Witnesses said Green was the shooter and had driven away.
About 12 minutes later, deputies found Green near Apple Valley Road and Sitting Bull Road, some three miles away, and arrested her.
